Itinerary

Day 1 : (New Delhi)Day 1 - Delhi to Sariska

For wild life enthusiasts, India has much to offer. The bird sanctuary at Bharatpur with over 300 species is recognized as one of the best of its kind in the world. The semi-arid forests of Sariska and Ranthambore harbor a rich assortment of mammals, notably Nilgai, Tiger and Samber. Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh are among few places in India where you have the chance to see the elusive Tiger in broad day light. Wildlife areas alternate with the colors of Jaipur, the magic of the Taj Mahal and the exquisite temples of Khajuraho. If time permits, extend your stay and visit Corbett National Park, in the foothills of the Himalaya. The best time to take this tour is from November through April. However, for travel in March or April, Bharatpur may be omitted from your itinerary & replaced by an extra night elsewhere.

 

Delhi to Sariska:

 

Morning drive to Sariska in Rajasthan and proceed to Sariska Palace, which was founded in 1892 by Queen Victoria’s son. The Duke of Connaught, at dusk visit the reserve. Sariska is noted for Leopard, Tiger, Porcupine and several spices of Deer. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : (Sariska)Day 2 - Sariska to Jaipur

At dawn visit the reserve, then after breakfast leave for Jaipur, stopping just outside the city at Amber Fort where painted Elephant will take you to the fort with its huge gateways and pavilions. Continue on to Jaipur- the static capital of Jaipur. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : (jaipur)Day 3 - In Jaipur

The morning city tour visiting City Palace complex, which includes the Hawa Mahal {Palace of Winds} built in 1799, The Jantar Mantar {The Observatory} which is still equipped with ancient instruments including a very accurate 90 ft. Sundial and the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Lind museum. Afternoon at leisure to visit perhaps the kite shops at Sanganir gate or the colorful bazaars of Bapu & Johari.

Day 4 : (Ranthambore)Day 4 - Jaipur to Ranthambore

Today continue on to Ranthambore, named after an ancient fort which stand in the reserve and which provides a dramatic setting for this Project Tiger Park. Leopard, Jungle Cat & Antelope together with a wide variety of Birds all around here. The water pools harbor Marsh, Crocodile & Python.  Evening visit the reserve. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : (Ranthambore)Day 5 - In Ranthambore:

At Dawn & Dusk, visit the reserve.

Day 6 : (Bharatpur)Day 6 - Ranthambore to Bharatpur

After breakfast continue onto Bharatpur – one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world with over 300 species of birds. Originally this fresh water swamp was developed by the Maharaja of Bharatpur to cater for his passion for shooting – both Kitchener & Curzon were at the first shoot in 1902. Since 1956 Bharatpur has been established as a sanctuary. Afternoon bird watching. Overnight at the hotel

Day 7 : (agra)Day 7 - Bharatpur to Agra

Visit the sanctuary at dawn, after breakfast drive onto Agra. En route visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Akbar around 1570. It was abandoned some years later, presumably because the water system failed. Then onto Agra for overnight.

Day 8 : (agra)Day 8 - In Agra

This morning visit the Taj Mahal, which was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daullah. Afternoon at leisure to explore the Bazaars in the area to the west of Agra Fort.

Day 9 : (Khajuraho)Day 9 - Agra / Jhansi / Khajuraho:

Morning Train to Jhansi which takes about 2 Hrs & afterwards meet the car / bus & drive to  Khajuraho which is approx. 170 Kms. & takes about 4 Hours. Upon arrival, check in  at your hotel. Later visit the magnificent cluster of richly decorated ancient temples which probably are from the one of the best examples of Indian art.

Day 10 : (Bhandhavgarh)Day 10 - Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh

After breakfast leave for Bandhavgarh in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Bhandhavgarh is also dominated by an ancient fort and it’s especially noted for tigers, Gaur, Sloth, Bear, Deer, Wild Boar and Antelope. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : (Bhandhavgarh)Day 11 - In Bandhavgarh

Visit the reserve at Dawn & Dusk by Jeeps and Elephant.

Day 12 : (New Delhi)Day 12 - Bandhavgarh to Delhi

After an early breakfast drive to Khajuraho airport to connect afternoon flight for Delhi. Assistance upon arrival in Delhi to connect your return flight. End of the Program.
